90 odd movies released in 2010, and the year turning out to
be very disappointing. Actually there are no must watch kind of release. Very few
movies can be considered as one time watch apart from these listed 5.
COCKTAIL : Remake of butterfly on a wheel and yes very well
adapted and executed movie. Best performance from lead cast jayasurya and anoop
menon. Gripping and edge of seat thriller.
PRANCHIYETTAN AND THE SAINT: Renjith with mammooty and
simple story told in very interesting manner. Hilarious performance from Innocent
and Jagathy Sreekumar.
MUMMY AND ME: Jeethu Joseph’s family drama which had Urvashi
in lead role along with Archana kavi. Simple story told with comedy and
sentiments.
ELSAMMA ENNA ANKUTTY: Lal jose’s one of the best. Ann Augustine
in title role and Kunjako in his best form. Total entertainer.
BEST ACTOR: a story about the dreams of a school teacher to
become a movie actor and his experiences persuing it. A very well executed
drama. Mammooty’s top performances along with Nedumudi venu, Lal and Salim
kumar.
The hyped star studded movies like
DRONA 2010,
THANTHONI,
INGHOST HOUSE INN,
PRAMANI,
PAPI APPACHA,
ALEXANDER THE GREAT,
ANWAR,
THE
THRILLER,
KANDHAHAR were utter disasters and you can avoid watching it.
Movies like HAPPY HUSBANDS,
BODYGAURD,
JANAKAN,
SAKUDUMBAM SHYAMALA,
KUTTY SRANK,
SHIKKAR were above average.
