Red 2 is action comedy sequel to RED directed by Dean Parisot
based on the comic book series of the same name.
Hollywood known to produce a lot of clichéd spy thrillers
and to cash on its popularity by making sequels to exploit it. RED is no
different. When compared to the RED, its sequel RED2 is superior in content,
and the thrill quotient.
Plot is no different from the spy action adventures, finding
a bomb and diffusing it which may become a threat to the world. What makes it a
decent watch is the racy screen play and performance of lead characters
otherwise clichéd scenes and storyline.
Movie moves with speed and while coming to second half after
the introduction of Antony Hopkins shifts the gears and thrills you.
Direction should be applauded for making this average story
line told in a very interesting and thrilling way, and most credit will go to
camera work and racy back ground score.
