Many movies released last few years in the name of new
generation and new wave of young movie makers. Only few impressed audience,
rest all were disappointments. Common factor in all these cinemas are the
technical brilliance, but most fim makers forgets about the content and tight
screen play.
Hotel California, the name taken from famous the eagle song
of the same name which considered as cult classic from music l;overs. But this
movie no way near to a decent one time watches. Plot deals with mistaken identity
and multiple story line meeting in a common point. The biggest problem was the
casting.
There is nothing exciting in the story. Writers took many
digs at some movie stars and tried to crack some satirical jokes which fell
flat. Only few funny situations came from nandu and team from new faces (comedy
stars program, ASIANET).
Plus points being camera work and back ground score.
Performances from anoop menon and jayasoorya were ok. Others did not impress.
Writing and direction needs improvement.
