THE AVENGERS (2012) MOVIE REVIEW

 THE AVENGERS (2012) MOVIE REVIEW

The Hollywood 's obsession for super heroes and aliens  comes together in this multiple super heroes extravaganza, but fails miserably. The over crowded super heroes could not do justice for weak script.

The cliched alien attack to the earth concept is already exausted by many movie makers thousand times a year in hollywood and yet again the avengers goes the same path with same narration that we fed of watching.

The charecters seemed dis interested  the iron man and hulk supposed to be funny but failed evoke any laugh.

The initial 1 hour did not had anything, untill climax makers just dragged the story to unleash the mega action at the climax which was the only thing worth to watch in the movie.

The movie may be a box office hit but it was a disappointment
Multiple interesting super heroes couldnot make it interesting.

The movie is a good lesson to the movie makers who think only super hero characters and graphics required for a great movie. its high time they should understand the mpvies soul lies in the script and screenplay

Verdict : watch it with fast forward key

KADAL (2013) TAMIL MUSIC REVIEW

 KADAL (2013) TAMIL MUSIC REVIEW
by The Vibrations Music Blog

Director : Mani ratnam
Music : A R Rahman
Lyrics : Vairamuthu, Madan Karky, Aryan dinesh

Whenever ace director Mani ratnam teams up with A R Rahman there is huge expectation and they prooved time and again that they are the best team so far, except for the box office failure Raavan.
This time for KADAL A R Rahman experiments with wide range of genres for each song.

Songs are very much genre specific and fusion elements are minimal. that can be felt with recent Rahman Music, that clearly indicates how mature he became through the years, just like the wine getting better and better with age.

The album starts with the song

Adiye sung by sid sriram, is a jazz song the genre very rarely used in indian films, song is enhanced by the very distinct voice of sid and tune is very much unconventional. its not a catchy song but gets better with each hearing.

Anbin Vaasale is a christian devotional song with chorus, sung by haricharan instantly catchs up your mind and stays with you, lyrics is top notch. the song prooves A R Rahman 's range with diverse genre.

Chitirai nila : is lullaby sung by Vijay Yesudas son of great Yesudas, repeat hearing just memerises you. beautiful orchestrtion especialy the voilin bits and the chorus.

Elai Keechan sung the mozart of madras himself is a catchy folk song, hummable and typical composed in ARR style.

Magudi Magudi is a club song, easily the weakest song of the lot, depends heavily on the visualisation. nothing great in composition or lyrics. some portion of the song reminds the boom boom robo da song from enthiran ( ROBOT).

Moongil Thottam : it is a melodious duet sung beautifully by abhay and harini boosted by nice lyrics. this song will stay for longer time.

Nenjukulle is also a melodiuos song with simple orchestration but with rahman stamp all over it.

Verdict : Buy this gem :)

ROMANS (2013) MOVIE REVIEW

ROMANS (2013) MOVIE REVIEW

The biju menon and kunjako boban combination worked well with box office for many earlier flicks and this time too

Movie is a good time pass and hileriuos in few moments.

But story and the narration offers nothing new. The movie dragged here and there, crisp editing would have made this a very sharp entertainer.

Movie shot well and most of the technical dept doing well.

Performances are good by all the actors

But ending up just as a one time watch. nothing great or not so poor

It may work well in box office and we may have to watch some more these type of movies in coming days

verdict : a good one time watch

The expectations were high after the super success of race when director duo abbas and mustan announced the sequel. but this time the twist and turns in the scrript will give head ache and naussea till the last scene of the movie

The movie shot very richly, it has super stars, glamor dolls, songs high voltage actions etc.. but no soul.

The screenplay took too much liberty to accommodate the crazy twists every 2 min of the movie

The technical department was top notch, actors dint had much to do.

The directors disappointed again after their the italian job remake players.

Verdict : Wait for the DVD

VISHWAROOPAM (2013) MOVIE REVIEW

The movie is already in the controversy but there is nothin wrong shown against any religion.

The movie deals with the terrorism, which we often see in any hollywood thrillers and there is nothing new in story and narration.

The unnecessary dragging felt in many parts, they could have trimmed it and made this two part venture in one part.

The performance of leading cast are good except for the new actress who played the role of wife of kamal hassan. Her acting was irritating to the core. i still wonder how the multi tasker like Kamal go wrong with finding the new talent for his own directed movie.

Technically movie is shot well, graphics are better than any indian movie but not upto any hollywood movie.

But the production department was very good while producing some convincing production materials whic often not seen in indian movies.

The movie as such may not be a blockbuster but the controversy may save the movie financially.

Verdict : The movie is strictly a one time watch if you have time to kill
